In much of the country, drinking is not allowed by religion. Where it is allowed, it is generally not polite to be drunk in public.
Smoking is quite common, though not as much by women.
As far as dating goes, men usually ask the women out. Men tend to be very forward and may sexually proposition women they do not know well, or dance in a suggestive manner at a club.
