Drinking is acceptable, as is smoking. However, it is often looked down upon for a girl to be openly drinking and smoking in public. Once again, appearance is very important, so being excessively drunk is not well viewed. Also, a single girl going out with a group of all boys would seem questionable.
Dating is common and it is generally the guy that asks the girl out. First dates might include a walk in the park or going to the movies.
People are welcoming and generous in ; don’t hesitate to ask for directions or advice. Although, beware, there is a tradition of gossip amongst communities, such that everyone knows everyone else’s business and going-ons.
