Grades are mainly based on essays and exams. 1st is the best grade, 2-1 is very good, 2-2 is good, 3rd is ok, Pass is poor, and Fail is failing.

The style or teaching depends on the subject or level of study. Often times for introductory liberal arts classes, the professor will give big lecture classes.

University language classes are generally smaller tutorials and more interactive.

Medicine and science majors often have smaller laboratory classes in which they participate.
